Vancouver Showdown, Raptors beats Clippers

The Toronto Raptors beats the Los Angeles Clippers in a Vancouver showdown by a 20 point margin 93 - 73.

The Clippers played their second pre-season game against the Toronto Raptors. Chemistry is a very important factor that the Clippers are looking right now as they are playing with half of the team as newly acquired players.

They've struggled in the game as the new Clippers recruits failed to give a decent contribution for the team. As their most controversial player Lance Stephenson did not score any points in 25 minutes of action.

The bright side for the team was the old faces of the team did not struggle as the new ones did. The old Clipper players combines for a total of 54 points of the teams 73 points plus a shot clock which Blake Griffin broke with a high soaring dunk during warm-ups.

They have been beaten in all categories during this game.

Mbah a Moute who is also a newly acquired Clipper did not take action in this game.

Raptors slimmed and healthy Kyle Lowry lead Toronto into victory as he scored the game high 26 points with 2 assist and 2 steals.

Toronto also debut their off-season acquisitions. Luis Scola leads the debutants with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 1 assist; followed by the former starting small forward of the east top team Atlanta Hawks DeMarre Carroll who scored 6 points with 2 assist.

Jonas Valanciunas who is fresh from Euro Basket acquired a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.

Scott did not take action due to coaches’ decisions. Raptor players who are listed as inactive for this game were Bennett, Johnson, Nogueira, and Toupane.
