The Return Of The Black Mamba Did Not Prevail As Jazz Outscore The Lakers

The Utah Jazz wins over the Los Angeles Lakers 90 - 71.

The long awaited return of Kobe Bryant finally happened as he played against the Utah Jazz in an NBA pre-season game. Kobe scored only 5 points in his return; he shot 1 out of 5 from the field and 2 out of 2 from the free throw line. He played the whole opening quarter and sat through the rest of the game.

The other player who is coming back from an injury is the Lakers last year draft pick Julius Randle who injured his leg on the season opening game last year that end his supposed to be rookie season. Julius's contribution during his return was 7 points, 7 rebounds, a steal, and a block.

The only double digit scorer for the Lakers was the 2 great scorers from off the bench Lou Williams and Nick Young with 14 and 10 points.

Their rookie D'Angelo Russell started at the point and finished the game with 5 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assist, and a steal in 21 minutes of game action.

Huertas did not play due to a strained right hamstring. Other Lakers who did not see action are Frazier, Holmes, Nance Jr., Upshaw, and the newly acquired NBA veteran World Peace.

The Jazz have 4 players in double figure, including Gordon Hayward (11 Points), Derrick Favors (16 Points), Rudy Gobert (10 Points), and Trey Burke (10 Points).

Alec Burks had a rough night shooting the ball. He did not contribute to the scoring category in 21 minutes of game action.

Six of the Utah players have at least 5 rebounds and four has at least 4 rebounds and 10 points.

Utah's roster is pretty banged up as they have three players in the injured list; they are Exum (Left ACL Injury), Jerrett (Right Shoulder Injury), and Johnson (Concussion). Other Jazz who did not take action in this game are Cooley, Cotton, Graham, and O'Brien.
