Miami New Comers and Returnees Spoiled as Charlotte Tops Heat

The Charlotte Hornets wins against the Miami Heat 90 - 77

The Miami Heat debut their off-season acquisition Gerald Green and Amare Stoudemire, they both scored 12 points in their first game wearing the Miami Heat uniforms. Amare also grabbed 6 rebounds and a block; while Gerald also grabbed 5 boards, a dime, couple of steals, a block, along with a monster dunk.

Chris Bosh also suited up for his return from a season ending blood cloth that has been found on his lungs. Bosh scored the Heat game high 14 points, grab 7 rebounds, and a dime on his return as he sat out the last 30 games of the Miami Heat last season.

Miami also showcased their rookie first rounder Justise Winslow as he scored 9 points, grabed 2 rebounds, a dime, and picked up two steals in 28 minutes (Heat's game high) of playing time.

The 2 key players from the Heat's last season campaign, Whiteside and Ennis, sat the game out.

The Charlotte Hornets new faces also contributed on the Hornets second pre-season win. Tyler Hansbrough grabbed a game high 17 big rebounds while scoring 4 points, while Jeremy Lin scored 10 points, grabbed 3 rebounds, and got a dime.

Brian Roberts and Kemba Walker scored 38 points of the Charlotte's 90. While their rookie Frank Kaminsky scored 9 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

Hornet's Kidd-Gilchrist missed the game with an injury (Dislocated Right Shoulder) that he had acquired on their pre-season opener against the Orlando Magic. Other key players who did not take action during the game were the newly acquired Batum, Hawes, and Jefferson.
