With the recent signing of Steve Nash, the Golden State Warriors is now the best shooting team in the NBA, inside the court and along the sideline.
Shortly after Steve Nash announced his retirement in March, Coach Steve Kerr and Warriors Team President Rick Welts started the pursue of hiring him as a part of the Warriors coaching staff, but Nash is not interested in signing a deal with them at that time.
This off season, however, Nash was also been offered by his former teammate, Dirk Nowitzki, to come off the retirement and play with the Dallas Maverick this season but Nash did not accept it and instead signed a part time player development consultant position with the Warriors.
Steve Nash has a long time attachment with Steve Kerr and Rick Welt, back in the days where they are all with the Phoenix Suns, and also he shares agent with Klay Thompson. So the relativity with them has always been there.
Nash has worked with the NBA All-Rookie team, Jordan Clarkson who credited Steve Nash with the improvement of his game. This season Steve Nash has broaden his list of clientele, listing big names such as Dante Exum, Kemba Walker, CJ McCollum, and Jeremy Lin.
Nash will be working with Stephen Curry who is now the best shooter in the league. Evidently Nash would not be focusing in the shooting skills of Steph, but rather on his penetrating, getting defenders commit, and drop passes.
Nash could also improve the shooting for the tall guard Shaun Livingston, and Adre Iguodala who has his shares of shooting struggles, especially on the charity stripes.
Klay has dramatically improved his scoring abilities to probably his maximum potential, and now Nash can teach Klay how to widen his limits more by teaching him the art of passing at the right time.
Nash would only be making a few days a month of working with the Warriors, but that few days would surely be progressive.
