Dikembe Mutombo Mpolondo Mukamba Jean-Jacques Wamutombo is the exact name of, as our knowing, Dikembe Mutombo.

The Atlanta Hawks is set to retire the jersey number of Dikembe Mutombo on November 23.

Dikembo Mutombo is a Congolese-American who played 18 seasons in the NBA for six different teams. He has been drafted by the Denver Nuggets for the 4th overall pick on 1991. During his 18 years of professional basketball in the NBA, he manage to collect awards such as 8 time NBA all-star, all-NBA second team, 2 time all-NBA third team, 4 time NBA defensive player of the year, 3 time NBA all-defensive first team, 3 time NBA all-defensive second team, NBA all-rookie first team, 2 time NBA rebounding leader, and 3 time NBA blocks leader.

With the Atlanta hawks he manage to win 2 NBA defensive player of the year awards and got selected several times in the NBA all-defensive team. He totaled an amazing 1096 blocks and 4321 rebounds during his time with the Hawks.

Besides all of his awards, he is much more known as a humanitarian. He is also known to speak multiple languages like English, French, Swahili, Lingala, Tshiluba, Portuguese, and more.
