Jordan Clarkson will play for GILAS?

Jordan Clarkson is said to have acquired Philippines Passport before he turned sixteen years old making him eligible for playing in the upcoming FIBA Asia 2015.

Jordan was drafted 46th by the Washington Wizards before being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. The 23 years old Fil-Am averages twelve points. three assists and three rebounds in twenty five minutes while playing 59 games in which he starts 38 of them.

The combo guard has been chosen to be awarded to the first rookie team pool.

Jordan has his Philippine passport for eleven years making him twelve when he acquired it. FIBA rules demands a player with foreign blood to have his passport before turning sixteen, making Jordan eligible.

It has been said that the SBP knew about Jordan Clarkson's eligibility to play for Gilas ever since he first step in to the country as an NBA player.

FIBA is still looking at this possibility and will therefore announce the eligibility if there was one.

Coming from an injury, he has still lot of things in front of him.
